My names Michaela Halse. I'm from a small town in upstate New York. I remember being young and staying up late watching movies, listening to music, scrolling the internet. Looking for anything that inspired me. I needed a way to creatively express myself. So I picked up my first camera at age 13. I started with music videos in my basement and when I turned 18, I bought a ticket to Europe. Then ten more countries that year.

Six years later, I decided to go total van life. I headed out west and settled in Los Angeles. A swimwear brand discovered my videos on my Instagram and offered me a video editor position. As I worked my way up in the company, I fell in love with brand aesthetics. I discovered film photography shortly after and decided that this was something I wanted to pursue.

I now travel the world specializing in fashion photography. I push to portray a youthful, free state of mind in my work. With the main goal of giving a feeling of inspiration to my audience.
